I hope everyone has a great time visiting and I wish everyone could win a Gift Certificate to SVGcuts.com, their files ROCK!!!!
Hi everybody, this is MJ. I'm sooo happy that I have the chance to play with Tammy in her craft room again because I miss her dearly! For the first day of this SVGCuts.com marathon, I created an Easter paper favor cake.I used the cake box from SVGcuts.com's "Betty's Boxes and Bags" collection. I bought my ribbons, teal and chocolate texture papers as well as the Porcelain Chocolate Bunny Cake Topper from Hobby Lobby. I assembled the boxes using my Scorpal to score the fold lines and glued them together with Scotch Quick-Dry Adhesive.
I embellished each cake slice with a paper rose (sooo easy to make) from SVGCuts.com's "Crush on You Boxes" file. Even though this is a Valentine collection, the roses and boxes are so beautiful and can be used for all seasons (Spring, Easter, Weddings, etc). The paper for the flowers came from Michaels (Recollection brand) and for a finishing touch I added some fabric leaves that I found at Hobby Lobby in the wedding department. I adhered the flowers to boxes with hot glue.
This is a really quick and easy project with very impressive and beautiful result.
MJ's Party Favor Cake is phenomenal!! My card pales in comparison, I had grand plans but I ended up with a sick child and this card is the result!
I used SVGcuts.com's "Robins Return" Collection to create this card, I used the cloud frame, the branch and the nest with eggs to signify Spring (I am so ready for Spring) With a My Pink Stamper sentiment from the "Tweetie Hoo Puns" stamp set and a little bit of doodling finishes off this Spring card.
Leave your comments and tomorrow we will announce the winner of todays $10 SVGcuts.com gift certificate!!
