Drawing and cutting out a digi stamp or doodlebat with the Cricut

I have created another video tutorial for y'all. This teaches you how to use a digital stamp (you can download lots of them for free) and your Cri-Kits (or other brand) pens, along with your Cricut to draw and cut out your image. I also show you how to do virtually the same thing but instead of a digital stamp, using a doodlebat Font (I used DB Monster from Lettering Delights). I hope that someone uses this technique and makes something! If so let me know!!

If anyone knows how to focus a Kodak Zi8 video camera, please let me know, I can't find the stupid book! Sorry about the blurry video!!

Halloween using KAndrew Designs Files

Here is a super cute Halloween card that is just scary enough for the diapered set! tee hee I used the KAndrew Designs "Hcatandrew_400" file but, y'all know me, I had to change things up some. I used SCAL2 and I didn't use the "Happy Halloween" that comes with the file, I made the pumpkin a Jack-o-lantern. Then I used a "drippy guck" label that I fashioned into a svg file and then used my Cri_Kit Pen (the Black Glitter one) to draw the Happy Halloween using the font "Halloween", I colored in the letters with the same pen. I used the Cricut Cartridge "Oct 31" for the Gate and a spider brad from my stash. The background paper is from a halloween paper stack that I had had a while and the card base is Kraft paper from PaperTrey Ink. I really do like it for a child, it is scary enough but not too much! The Drippy Guck file is available for download in the upper right had corner of my blog, enjoy!

My First Video

OK Y'all, be nice, here it is a tutorial on how to get free downloads for digital scrapbook paper and then create and print your own scrapbook paper. If you have any questions let me know and a part 2 will include the project bags I talked about. I had a time limit and since I am so new to this all, I am still figuring out the time thing.

I am looking for ideas for future videos and if you have anything you want me to show you, leave me a comment and we will get it into the works!
Thanks Everyone.

Trick or Treat Distressed

Hi Y'all!
I love the way this card come together! It is for a Challenge at KAndrew Designs Blog, the challenge is to use the Cricut Cartridge "Oct 31st"or files from KAndrew to create a project. This card is made using a Navy card base cut at 6x6 and a piece of mottled blue from my stash, I distressed all of the pieces including the background piece with Tim Holtz Distress inks (mainly walnut and Black Soot) The wooden sign, Trick or Treat, pumpkin and the moon are all from the "Oct 31st" cartridge. The spiders and bats are from "Wild Card" and the grass is from "Plantin Schoolbook" I did use my Gypsy to create this card. I also used my Cri-Kits pens to draw the Trick or Treat and I colored it in with a black Sharpie marker. I will also have another card to post using KAndrew files, so stay tuned also I am working on creating my first video showing y'all how I am creating my own scrapbook papers and how I am using them.

Cely's CreatinginCarolina Challenge

Hello Everyone,
I am so excited to see the number of followers rise and rise! Today's card is one I designed using two svg files from Cely over at Creating in Carolina she is doing a challenge so go and check it out and try to participate! I used her wheelbarrow and the pumpkin with just stem. The papers I used were all scraps (except for the card base (5 1/2 x 5 1/2) and the background paper) All of the solids were Papertrey Ink and the patterned paper is from  DCWV "Indian Summer Fall Stack". The sentiment stamp is from the Scrappy Mom's "A Charmed Life" stamp set (I am give this one away so don't forget to scroll down and leave a comment on the giveaway blog post) The fall leaf brads are from my stash, I have had them forever it seems LOL, the ribbon is from Hobby Lobby in the fabric dept. I did want to add that on the sentiment, the actual sentiment is "Happy Fall Y'all" I am Southern and I do say y'all often but this time I just wanted "Happy Fall" so I used some scotch tape to mask the "y'all", inked up the sentiment with some Tim Holtz Walnut Distress Ink and before I actually stamped it onto my card I took off the tape so there was no ink on the "y'all" part. I hope I have given someone some inspiration! Have a great day Y'all!

Birthday Bag and Card

Hi Everyone,

I am going to a Birthday party for myself and my little cousin (she will be three in a couple of days) I decorated a white gift bag for her gift and made her a card. The gift bag is from the Dollar Tree (2 bags for $1) I used the new Toy Story Cricut Cartridge to creat Mrs. Potatohead, in full makeup and with lots of jewelry (tee Hee) I also made a "fancy: happy birthday, using the "Birthday Bears" set from My Scrap Chick. the sentiment stamps is from My Pink Stamper. I think it is cute.
The card is a simple one using a lady bug square that I made using a jpg from a Martha Stewart punch around the page set, I made it into a svg file and the lady bug is a file from Treasure Box Designs. I hope she likes her gift, the gift bag and the card!

Blog Candy for My Birthday!!!!!!!!!!!

Happy Birthday to me!!!!!!!!! LOL
Since it is my Birthday I wanted to give all of my wonderful blog readers something GREAT!!!!!! Recently I won (can you believe it!) a set of Scrappy mom's Stamps, I got to choose and I decided that "The Charmed Life" was the set I wanted. The catch is that I so LOVE Scrappy Mom's stamps that I had already ordered the two new sets so I already had them coming to me. Scrappy moms are so wonderful, they emailed me to make sure I wanted both of the Charmed Life sets (instead of a different set) I own ALL of the Scrappy moms Stamp Sets, they are simply my Favorite! I explained to Melanie and Tammy that I planned to use them as blog candy on my blog and I was very happily surprised to find out that Melanie follows my blog! (I was so thrilled, did I mention that I LOVE the Scrappy Moms) Anyway, I am giving away to one of my Followers the Scrappy Moms "The Charmed Life" Stamp Set. I do have a few rules, you must be a follower (if you follow using Feedburner, note that in your comment) Also, if your friend(s) become followers from your recommendation then let me know that and you will get your name in the pot a second time. When I get to 100 Followers we will have another HUGE Giveaway!!!! This will run for my entire Birthday week, so next Sunday (12 Sept 2010) I will draw for the winner. If we reach 100 Followers (I am an optimist LOL) then the Huge blog giveaway will follow this one!  I do have some new projects coming very soon, we have been a little busy preparing for Hurricane Earl, he came and went so I am back in the craft room!
