I used a downloaded random number generator because I found out that in order to use Random.org for a drawing it is a paid service, since I do not need it on a regular basis and I couldn't find their fee structure, I decided to find a free program, I used a program called Random Number created by Paul Saccenti. WOW!! Time for BLOG CANDY
We made it to 50 Followers and I promised some blog candy for when we got here! It's Not a Card!! 

Todays project is a magnet frame, I got the idea from Tammy Skinner at her website http://www.cricutcritters.com/ she teaches a class is Texas and since Texas is a little far from North Carolina I thought I would try to figure it out on my own. This isn't perfect but since it is mainly an experiment that works I though I would post it! She uses the Sentimentals Cricut Cartridge and I do not own that one (might have to start stalking Ebay LOL) I used SCAL2 and a Penny Duncan SVG file called "swirly Frame" (I will include the link to Penny's website at the bottom) I did modify it in SCAl, I deleted some of the extra cuts that were tiny and created a shadow layer with a 3.75 x 5.75 inside frame and resized the frame to fit the same inside window so that it would fit a 4x6 photo. I used Avery magnet paper which is thinner that the Cricut magnet material so I did not have to use my Deep Cut Blade. This is two cuts, the shadow layer and then the vinyl layer, I also added a few jewels to give it some bling. The photo is of Me, my little sister (we are 41 years apart) and my Grandson.

Hello Everyone

My Cousin lives at the front end of my road (we live toward the dead end) He is 11 years old and a real sweetheart. He is at Church Camp this week and we miss him and decided to make him a card to let him know we missed him. I used papertrey Ink paper,  Potpourri Basket Cricut Cartridge (an Ebay find for $35) and my Gypsy to create the tent card, the fold is along the left side and I used the copy/paste feature to get two copies of the tent the same size, I flipped one and butted them together and welded them, I cut out the overlay piece (dark green) and glued it on and then I cut out the pieces to the campfire and pop dotted the campfire to the tent. I did some doodling and added the "G'Day mate" stamps from Joy's Life and wrote him a personal note inside. I hope he loves it! This was a quick and simple card but I liked the way it turned out, sometimes "boy" cards can be a challenge so here is an idea! Thanks and please don't forget to leave me a comment.

Hello Everyone, Today's card was created for this weeks challenge over at Emma's Blog http://www.creativetimeforme.com/, this is the second time I have done her challenges and I am really having a good time with them. This weeks challenge was to use the Celebrations Cricut cartridge and create a Birthday themed item. I do not have the celebrations cart so I used "Life's a beach" Cricut cartridge, which is another older Cricut cartridge (the point of Emma's challenges is to use older cartridges so we actually use what we bought and they don't get dusty!) I used my Gypsy to create this card, I used the sand bucket and crab images, I sort of created my own blackout bucket using the "hide contour" feature then I duplicated the bucket and then flipped it and butted the two buckets together and welded them, I also welded the crab to the top and I did cut away a portion with scissors, for more stability. I layered up the bucket top, the sand and pop dotted the handle, I also pop dotted on the crab and the shovel, The crab's eyes were stamped with Peachy keens PK-549 Pumpkin Face Parts (this goes to show you how versatile the Peachy keen stamps actually are!)I hand drew the nose and the mouth. I did some doodling with my white gel pen and the sentiment "Snappy Birthday" is from the My Pink Stamper "More Punny-licious" stamp set. The paper is all from PaperTrey Ink's perfect match. I hope you are all enjoying the new look! Don't tell anyone (it's a secret) but when I get to 50 followers I am going to have some Blog Candy to give to one of my Followers, so stay tuned!!

Today's card is so cute, I used the "B is For Boy" Cricut Lite Cartridge (available exclusively at Wal-mart) for the Robot and the two tags. The larger tag was cut at 3.25 inches and the smaller tag was cut at 1.25 inches. The cog was cut at about 5 inches using SCAL2 (Sure Cuts A Lot), my computer and the Cricut, I do not know where I got the free file but as soon as I figure it out I will amend this post with the link to the free svg. The green card base and larger tag was cut from paperTrey Ink's "Ripe Avocado" Perfect match paper, the patterned paper is from DCWV "All About Boys" paper stack, the cog is cut of a piece of red foil paper from Hobby Lobby and the robot is cut from an assortment of mat stack paper from DCWV. I used some stickles on the robot, the sentiment is from Recollections "Robots" Clear Stamp Set and the twine is some Jute Packaging Twine I bought at Michaels. I have not put anything on the inside of the card but I was thinking  "Blast Off" would go with lots of things like "...to a great first day at school." or "...to a Happy Birthday." etc. I will personalize the card when I send it. Hello Cupcake!

I Love this card, it is bright and cheerful, The sentiment is from the Scrappy moms "Sweet Somethings" stamp set and the little bear is from the "Birthday Bear" cutting set from MyScrapChick. I cut this using a Cricut Expression and SCAL2 software. I used Raspberry Fizz paper from PaperTrey Ink as a card base, a cool zig-zag paper from DCWV's "The Blossoms & butterflies" 8x8 Premium Stack and the white top layer is a Bazzill textured paper from my stash (it was a scrap) The little bear is cut from some Kraft paper and chalked to give some dimension, I ran the pink (another scrap) frosting through the Cuttlebug using the "Divine Swirls" Embossing Folder and I also embossed the party hat using the "Swiss Dots" embossing folder. I went over the swirls on the frosting with Cotton Candy Stickles and I used a "snow marker" by Marvy on the Party Hat pompom and after that was heat set I went on top with some Diamond Stickles. The Raspberry ribbon is from Hobby Lobby in the fabric section. The little bears face is stamped using a Peachy Keen face from the PK-754 Critter Faces Set A medium stamp set. This card can be a Birthday card or a Thinking of you card or most anything, I do think it is mostly a "girl" card! I entered this card into the "made by Momo Challenge" as a Super Girly card. I am going to list the links for the different products in a list, let me know if it is helpful and I will continue doing it. Thanks for looking

Happy Monday Everyone

This card was created using Sure Cuts A Lot 2 (SCAL2) and  the Surfer Penguin from the "Beach Penguins" set available at  http://www.myscrapchick.com/.  I absolutely love all of the different cut images available at My Scrap Chick. The Sun was cut out from the Doodlecharms Cricut cartridge and the face is from Peachy Keen Stamps set PK-480 "Christmas Characters Face Assortment" This is my favorite sun face and I think it is the girl elf face. The papers are all scraps from my stash and the card base is a piece of white Bazzill card stock cut at 5.75 square (I am loving the square cards) The sentiment is from a new stamp set I just got and it is so cute!! It is the "Amusing Animal Stamp Set" from  http://scrappymoms-stamps.blogspot.com. I also bought their "Sweet Somethings" stamp set as well, so you will be seeing some of them soon too. I love the way this card turned out, I especially love the "mirrored" sunglasses, I was so excited when I found a small piece of silver foil paper in my scrap stash. Wild Card Challenge

I Finally got the chance to participate in a challenge at http://www.creativetimeforme.com. I absolutely love Emma and her website, she has taught me so much about my Gypsy and is always so kind and answers my questions! Thanks Emma!! I have been following Emma and her challenges but usually ran out of time. This weeks challenge was to use the "Wild Card" Cricut cartridge and create a card for your favorite holiday. This is what I came up with. I used the Argyle icon shape, the present shape and the Merry Christmas Phrase. I used my Gypsy to make the card 5.75 x 5.75 inches, I cut the argyle pieces at the 5.75 square size and the presents were cut at 4 inches and 3.25 inches. I cut the Merry Christmas at 4.5 inches. The papers I used; for the card base, a white glitter paper, the green brocade is an Anna Griffin paper, the red brocade is a Ek Success paper (called Brocade Red) and the Merry Christmas and presents were cut out of Basic Grey's Fruitcake paper. I also used the white glitter on the presents as well. The Merry Christmas is the back side of the Fruitcake paper, I flipped it on the Gypsy so it looked backwards on the screen. I also used some Christmas Red Stickles and my favorite white gel pen to do a little stitching. I really like the way this turned out and it was fun to be creative and use only one cartridge! Dump Truck Card

Dump Truck Card
I made this card using my Gypsy, Cricut and "B is for Boy" Cricut Lite Cartridge, available at Wal-mart. I have to say that I LOVE LOVE LOVE the "B is for Boy" cart, it is super cute. I also used a Mypinkstamper Happy Birthday stamp and hand wrote on the inside "Hope you have a great Haul". This is a perfect card for a little boy's birthday (I think), Using my Gypsy I got the base of the dump truck, sized it to the size I wanted (I tend to size based on if I am going to use a 12x12 or 8 1/2 x11 piece of paper) and then I duplicated it. I flipped one of the images and butted them together, then I went to Plantin School Book and got a rectangle and welded it to the butt joint to give the card some stability (I hope that makes sense) and a larger fold. Then I cut out the different layers and layered it up, it is a super easy card to make. Oh, I did use the "hide countour" feature to hid the wheel and other accent cut lines on the back piece of the card so that it is solid with no cuts.

I also wanted to share the cute T shirts that I made today. I picked up some T shirts at the craft store and a package of onesies at Wal-Mart . I used digital stamps (the Pirate Dragon is a Dustin Pike Stamps) the others I got as freebies but do not know who made them, if anyone knows please let me know so I can give credit. I used Photoshop to color them in and then printed them out on Transfer paper using the mirror image feature on the printer. I just ironed them on using the directions in the transfer paper package, super cute!!!

Good Morning

Today I am posting three cards, they are the same card in different colors, I created this card for my first cousin who had a baby boy in March. The "recipe" is the same in all three cards just different colors. I used a light blue Bazzill cardstock for the base of the card, the rest of the paper is a nice heavy white cardstock that I bought in bulk at a stamping store in Marietta GA when Gene and I were on a business trip. The bottom layer of white is punched with the Martha Stewart Deco shell border punch and then the next layer was run through the Cuttlebug using the Swiss Dot Embossing folder. The sentiment is stamped on a Spellbinders Fancy Tag die and says "Time to Celebrate" (at the time that was the only appropriate sentiment I had, I have since rectified that situation LOL). The baby (stamped image) is a Close to My Heart stamp, actually a Christmas set, "Let Us Adore Him" (B1260) and it is actually baby Jesus. I stamped him using Versamark clear embossing ink and I embossed it with Zing Embossing Powder. I then cut him out and matted it on the same blue as the card base. I used some sheer white ribbon in my stash to finish off the card. I loved the way it turned out and it is a fairly simple card. I liked this card so much I made a pink one and a yellow one as well.  the Card for today was the first commissioned card I have done, a guy that works at my bank asked me to make him a card for Mother's day, this is what I came up with. I used a dark lavender card base and white layers, the first layer was plain and I did a bottom border with  Martha Stewart's deco shell border punch, the second layer was embossed with the Cuttlebug and the damask embossing folder. I used a dark purple ribbon and a Spellbinders Fancy tag for the sentiment. The sentiment was first printed out on the computer and then I used the Spellbinders die to cut it out. The image is from Stampin Up's "Blossoms Abound" stamp set and it is a two step stamp so I was able to get two colors in the flower to make it look more dimensional. I also embossed it with clear embossing powder and I added the powder several times while it was wet to get a more 3d look (I don't yet own UTEE) I also included some extras, I made an envelope using two different purple papers and some white paper punched with the MS Deco Shell border punch

I also created a small gift bag in the shape of a purse using the same papers and punch. The pattern for the purse came from www.myscrapchick.com, it is in her 30 Boxes and More Collection, I used Sure Cuts A Lot 2 software with my Cricut to make it. I included some rhinestones for bling and a sheer silver ribbon as the handle, He was very pleased with the whole package.

Father's Day Card

 I made this card for my Dad for Father's Day, the paperdoll of my Dad is from the Cricut cartridge "Paperdolls For Everyday", the face is a Peachy Keen stamp from the PK-490 Everyday Paperdoll Face Assortment and I used my white gel pen to color in the whites of the eyes. The 4 blocks represent things that Dad and I do together, the coffee cup is a svg files I got for free (do not remember where), Dad comes almost every morning and we have coffee together (He is responsible for the fact that I am now addicted to Percolated coffee now), the gardening tools and the sign are both also from the "Paperdolls for Everyday" Cricut cartridge, Dad and I, along with my friend Louise go "yarding" (go to yard sales) most Saturday mornings, we started this last year because I was up with Doodlebug anyway and the garden tools are representative of all of the help Dad gives my in my garden. The "Dad" (which I don't love) is from a set of individual letter stamps that I have had so long they are hard, but I didn't have a Dad stamp (I will next year! LOL). The purple and green papers are Bazzill and the patterned is from my stash. The "thanks so much" is from the "Stamping" Cricut cartridge and inside the card I thanked Dad for all that he does for me, including loving me! Dad loves his card and told me he kept it, that means the world to me!

I also wanted to post a pic of my garden, this (and Jeremy) take most of my time, along with all of the regular household chores that we all have. I have already started canning, I have canned 48 quarts of beans, 5 pints of Dill pickles, 6 quarts of tomatoes and 15 pints (1 batch) of salsa, and I am only just getting started LOL

Hi all,

I am so sorry it has been such a long time since I last posted. As many of you know, Gene and I have full custody of our Grandson so my life is very full and busy with a 17 month old bundle of energy. I do get to craft occasionally and Gene, being the fabulous Husband he is, got me a Cricut Expression for Christmas. I am going to really try to do much better with my posting. The card I am posting today is one I made for my Mom's birthday, I used Create a Critter Cricut cartridge and the "Hoppy Birthday" stamp is from a very cool website (and sweet lady) www.joyslife.com, I am loving her stamps! The super cool face stamps (minus the mouth on the frog and the dragonfly) are from www.peachykeenstamps.com, I am addicted to PK stamps and have 8 sets so far!! The papers were from my stash, as many of you know, from my constant complaining, LOL I do not have a craft store in my area, the closest one is two hours away so I tend to buy in bulk and do not always know where I got something (I am trying to do better with this). The water was created just tearing some paper in a sorta wave pattern, and I doodled for the accents.The sun is from the Doodlecharms Cricut cartridge and the face is a peachykeen stamp. I  made this card for my Grandmother's 85th birthday, I used Raspberry for the main card and two white layers, one with the border made with a Martha Steward border punch and the top one Cuttlebugged. The Butterfly was pieced from three layers I stamped the Butterfly (a "Close To My Heart" image) with Versamark ink twice and used multiple colors of Zing embossing powder on the main body of the butterfly then I stamped it again on clear acetate and embossed with clear glitter embossing powder, I stamped and embossed the body section with black glitter embossing powder and cut all of the pieces out and pieced them together, the head is a pearl that I airbrushed black with my Copic airbrushing system. I used several spellbinders and some ribbon from my stash to finish it off. I think it turned out well! I will be back soon to show you some other creations soon!!
