OBX Stamping & Crafting

Hello Everyone, Today's card was created for this weeks challenge over at Emma's Blog http://www.creativetimeforme.com/, this is the second time I have done her challenges and I am really having a good time with them. This weeks challenge was to use the Celebrations Cricut cartridge and create a Birthday themed item. I do not have the celebrations cart so I used "Life's a beach" Cricut cartridge, which is another older Cricut cartridge (the point of Emma's challenges is to use older cartridges so we actually use what we bought and they don't get dusty!) I used my Gypsy to create this card, I used the sand bucket and crab images, I sort of created my own blackout bucket using the "hide contour" feature then I duplicated the bucket and then flipped it and butted the two buckets together and welded them, I also welded the crab to the top and I did cut away a portion with scissors, for more stability. I layered up the bucket top, the sand and pop dotted the handle, I also pop dotted on the crab and the shovel, The crab's eyes were stamped with Peachy keens PK-549 Pumpkin Face Parts (this goes to show you how versatile the Peachy keen stamps actually are!)I hand drew the nose and the mouth. I did some doodling with my white gel pen and the sentiment "Snappy Birthday" is from the My Pink Stamper "More Punny-licious" stamp set. The paper is all from PaperTrey Ink's perfect match.
