Snail Mail Box (My Scrap Chick)

I used the mailbox file from My Scrap Chick to create this super cute Snail Mail box! The snail is from the My Scrap Chick Critter Books set and I used Make-the-Cut to create the "Mail" wordart. I inked the edges of the snail to add interest and dimension. I used a brad to attach the flag. This is a sturdy mailbox and so super cute!!!

**editing to add that the font I used to create the "mail" word-art was "Mail Ray Stuff" it is a free font and I included the link to it on Dafont.

Welcome back everyone and I am glad to be back too!

Some of you know (My Facebook Friends) that I started a small vinyl craft business, in October I did my first craft show and I was so busy that I had no crafting time. After the holidays my creative mojo went of vacation! I finally made myself get back into the craft room and this is the first thing I made! This is the 3D Jukebox from the Brand NEW Rockin and Rollin kit from svgcuts.com. Mary has really out done herself and I am going to be making the record box too (I seriously LOVE the dice and glasses) I did the vellum version and I cut my vellum out of the white style vellum and used Alcohol ink in silver to color it, you can still see the battery operated tealight through the vellum. I used a gray paper for the body (to simulate chrome or aluminum) and then did a black and pink theme that is so typical 50's. I just loe the way it turned out and so does my almost three year old (His birthday is Friday 3 Feb.) He kept saying Wow, Wow LOL . Please leave me a comment and let me know what you think!! Cuttin Up With Class Family Challenge

I made a Christmas card using the Stick Figure Family Cut Files. The little girl and boy are only two of a large family set designed by Jani from Paper Compulsions. You can get the basic family for free when you take part in our challenge over at Cuttin Up With Class and you can get an add on pack of their clothes and accessories from jani's ETSY store. I used Peachy Keen's "Basic Paper Doll Face Assortment" stamps for the faces. The tree on my card is from My Scrap Chick's "Christmas Cuties" Cut Set and I used stick on jewels for the ornaments. The sentiment is from Scrappy moms "A Holiday to Remember" stamp set. I also want to wish all of you a very Happy and Blessed Thanksgiving!!

CUWC Thanks Challenge and a Free svg file!

I took some creative license on this challenge! I decided that, instead of creating a tag or card to put on a Thank You gift, I would create the gift itself! I had the small jar candles that I bought at Walmart and I used the leaf file from the challenge a few weeks ago. I cut the leaf in brown vinyl and then I created the "give" to go with the "Thanks" file that is part of the challenge this week. You can download the svg of "give" HERE. I also tied on some raffia to complete the gift and I will be giving these to a friend who helped me out recently! Fall Leaf Votives

Fall Leaf Votive

** several folks have asked if the votives are washable, I did a quick test and it looks like if you hand wash, gently, and hand dry they are washable. I did not have any of the alcohol ink come off when I did a test wash.**

I created two fall votives for A Craft Junkie Too Design Team project last year and I wanted to repost them because I have many new followers and recently a new Friend was telling me about these fabulous votives she saw on a blog last year and I had to laugh because they were mine! I love the way they turned out. I created a video so you can see how I made these. They are quick, simple and inexpensive. I am linking these up to the "link up" party over at Cuttin' Up With Class so y'all create your own set and link them up too!! :-)

Please forgive the choppiness of the video, it was over 18 minutes long so I had to get it under the 15 minute limit and I am still learning how to edit! If anyone makes one please let me know, I would love to see them!

SVGcuts.com 3D Haunted House

This 3D haunted House was SO much fun to make! :-)
It is part of SVGcuts.com's Elmhurst Hollow SVG Kit. I used textured black cardstock for the main body of the house and some patterned orange from an K & Co. Halloween stack. I added a spider brad, some distressing with Tim Holtz Black Soot distressing ink, and red vellum to the windows. In the back you can place 3 battery operated tealight candles and it is gorgeous all lit up (I did try to take a photo of it lit but they just didn't turn out well.) I used floral wire that I sharpie markered black to attach the bats so they appear to be flying. I am very happy with the way this turned out and it was fairly easy too!

Y'all, I am so sorry that my post is so late, I have had a time getting this post up! I was also late because I had my weeks all messed up and I am crazy making stuff to sell at two craft fairs I am participating it in November.
This super cute Caramel Apple Goodie Box was created by the fabulous Jani! I used glossy Accents on the caramel to give it extra dimension. (it is hard to see in the photo) I tied a bit of Trendy Twine around the stick and filled it with Halloween Hershey's Kisses. Happy Fall Y'all!! I made this card with My Scrap Chick's new collection "Harvest Kids". I used two patterns out of the collection, the fence and flowers set and the Boy #2 set. There are 11 different patterns in the collection and you can easily mix and match them. I used Tim Holtz distressing ink to give this a more distressed look, a bunch! of pop-dots and some white gel pen stitching and accents here and there. The face is a Peachy Keen face from their "Simple Simons" set and the sentiment is from Scrappy Moms "The Charmed Life" stamp set.

Cuttin Up With Class Challenge #3 ~ Fall Leaf

To create this Fall card I used the Maple Leaf pattern from Jani. I created a shadow in MTC and duplicated it, mirrored one of the pieces, bumped the two pieces together added a rectangle basic shape (to make the folded area slightly larger) and then welded to make my card base. I then cut the leaf shape out of a pretty fall patterned paper and the vein layer out of brown paper. I assembled my pieces and then pop-dotted the leaf to the card base. (oh, I forgot to say that I used Time Holtz Distress inks to distress the Kraft paper on the card base) I added some Cinnamon Stickles on the vein layer and then added a Copper bow, a wooden button and some twine. My Scrap Chick just had a Facebook Challenge using their Kawaii files. I made 5 cards using 4 different files.

This card is made using the Kawaii Fruit Stand Collection, some Trendy Twine and a Joy's Life "Yummy Puns" Stamp.

This card is made using the Kawaii Food Vol. 1 and the bracket shaped card and mat are from the My Scrap Chick's 30 Boxes and More set (the 30 boxes and more set is a MUST have set, there are so many fabulous patterns in this set!)

I made this card using the My Scrap Chick Kawaii Food Vol. 1 and a stamp from Joy's Life "Barnyard Puns" stamp set. I added a bow and some stitching and I was all done with this simple card!!

This card is so cute! LOL I used the lettuce file from the My Scrap Chick kawaii Food Vol. 1 . I added some Trendy Twine and the sentiment is one I created myself and printed, I used my Cuttlebug to give the background some dimension.

This card was made using the My Scrap Chick Kawaii Sweet Shop set The cobweb paper is from Echo Park's Apothecary Emporium Paper Collection, the twine is from Divine Twine and the sentiment is from Scrappy mom's. I also used the Martha Stewart cobweb border punch .

Retro Crazy Daddio Card

Isn't this just the fun-est card ever!! LOL I LOVE it. I used the Lettering Delights "Hipsters" Cut-it set. I used a background paper from the DCWV Mod Retro stack and the brick paper is from the same stack. I used some metallic papers and some Crystal Effects on the body of the Base Cello. (I think that is what the instrument is, I am not musical other than listening and singing badly! LOL) My Aunt wants this card to send to a Friend of hers! I am considering parting with it! I guess I can make another one! LOL

Halloween Candy or Gift box

Isn't this fabulous!! This box is a My Time Made Easy file "That's A Wrap" , I just love Lauren's files, they are so original and easy to assemble with fabulous directions. The paper is from my stash except the cobweb paper, that is Echo park (I buy the digital version and print my own as I need it) The tag is from My Scrap Chick and the Stamped sentiment is from Joy's Life's "Holiday Occasions" Stamp Set. I inked the edges of the cobweb paper and the ribbon is from Wal-mart, the spider is a brad from my stash (sadly it is the last one I have!) Here is one last pic of it all filled up with Halloween (or Fall) Hershey Kisses.

Cuttin Up With Class Challenge #2

The challenge this week was to use a super cute mask file created by the fabulous Jani! I made my card using the mask svg and the super cute skeleton guy is from Lettering Delights "Spooky Soiree Cut-its" and the witch hat is from the Lettering Delights "Witch One Cut-its Set". The pumpkin bag I made using last weeks pumpkin file, I boolean joined a circle from basic shapes to make it look like a Halloween bag. I joined a face from the DB Jack-O-Patterns font I added some halloween Orange Licorice Trendy Twine for the handle. The background paper is a digital paper that I printed out onto the Georgia Pacific white cardstock that I buy at Wal-Mart, it is from the Lettering Delights "Best Witches" Paper Pack. The glitter paper is from a Martha Stewart Halloween stack I bought at Michaels and the sentiment is a Joy's Life stamp from her Holiday Occasions stamp set, I hand drew on the spider hanging from the N. I used an burnt orange card base and the accent paper is from Echo Park's Apothecary Emporium Collection (I buy the digital versions at Jessicasprague.com ) The Witch is from Scrappin Bug Designs "Witches N Potions" set, I used a Sizzix Cracked Glass embossing folder on her skirt and a Peachy keen Face, I also added some Stickles on her hat brim and some inking to highlight the details. The cool frame is from Echo Park's svg "Oval Frame" in their Apothecary Emporium Collection available at idiecut.com. The super fabulously COOL Oct 31st is a Joy's Life stamp from her Halloween Puns stamp set.

My second card uses this super cute Frog from the Digi Bistro's "Hoppy Little Frogs" SVG set, the witch hat (I Stickled this for the bling) and the moon and bat are from the Digi Bistro "Pick Your Poison" SVG set and the two bats on the left side are from the Digi Bistro "Halloween Town" SVG set, these bats look a little funny in the pic, they are covered with Martha Stewart Glow-in-the-dark glitter and they really glow (I tried to take a pic, but it didn't work) The sentiment is from Joy's Life's "Halloween Puns" Stamp set, I embossed this with Zing embossing powder.

Cuttin' Up With Class first Challenge!!

Welcome to the inaugural "Cuttin' Up With Class" Challenge. I created two projects for this challenge, a card and a goodie bag.

This is a super cute gift bag! I used Jani's pumpkin file and chose the shorter of the two pumpkins. I used Lindsay's Stamp Stuff's "Fun Favors SVG Templates" available at My Grafico.

The face is a Doodblebat font "DB Jack-O-Patterns 2" (Letter G) I used some glossy accents on her lips, a couple of leaf brads for her earrings and I used some Fabric Stiffening spray to make the curly tendrils from some twine. I used two different twines, one from Trendy Twine (I love this twine, the colors are so gorgeous, Thanks Bee) and some from The Twinery. I added a bow and she is ready for some gifting fun! :-D

My Second project is a Pumpkin Pirate card. I used Jani's pumpkin file, this time I chose the taller pumpkin, I created a shadow, duplicated it, mirrored one of the two images and then welded them together to create the card base. I cut the pumpkin and inked the edges in black to make my Pirate scruffy. I used the "DB Jack-O-Patterns 2" (letter Z) again to create the pirate face, I did not cut the left eye and substituted the eye patch from the Lettering Delights svg set "Aye Matey" and the pirate hat is from the Lettering Delights "Hat Hoopla" svg set, I used Trendy Twine's Halloween Twine to attach the eye patch. I used a Joy's Life stamp from her "Halloween Puns" stamp set.

Gnome Gift Box

I made this super cute gift box using the "My Time Made Easy" Carry It Cut set. I also used the Lettering Delights "Good Luck Gnomes" svg set. The doors and windows I created using basic shapes. The door knob is a paper fastener. The roof is glitter paper and the stamp is from Joy's Life's "Wildlife Puns" Stamp set. The papers (other than the main box paper and the glitter paper) are all Echo Park papers.((Wow the typos! LOL can you tell I am feeling under the weather and when I am sick my brain refuses to work!))

(Actually three freebies!! Woo Hoo) I created this plaque for a new baby girl (who has since arrived and I have even held her!!) My wonderful Hubby routered the edge and painted this plaque and I used to different colors of vinyl to create this. I added some ribbon to be used as part of the wall hanging. I also used two different fonts in three different sizes for visual interest. The Mom (in the pic) loved this gift and I am so glad!! I am giving y'all the svg file for this saying and I am also adding two svg files for a wavy banner that are similar to the retired Sizzix Creative Memories wavy banner die(these are available over on the righthand side of my blog under the "My Free SVGs" Heading. An Apple and A Pumpkin

These boxes from Kelleigh Ratzlaff are so super cute! This is actually a pumpkin but it makes a great apple too with a quick change of paper. The leaves are from my super huge svg stash LOL. To make the stems I used a clear straw, used some Scor-Tape to go around the straw and then wrapped it with some twine I bought at Wal-Mart. These boxes would make great teacher gifts filled with some candy. (I want mine filled with Ferrero-Rocher candy! LOL)

I created two projects for you and neither is a card! LOL. The first project are two wonderful and fun Cupcake Boxes.

Both of these fabulous boxes are from Kelleigh Ratzlaff, I used DCWV papers from their Nana's Kitchen Stack and the Ball Fringe is from hobby Lobby and the pink lace trim is from Michaels. I love how fun and flirty these boxes are, they will also hold a plenty of fabulous Chocolates!! (my gift of choice!)

This next project is one that I have had on my "to Do" list for a while. I have had these large glass jars for a while, I believe that I purchased them from IKEA. I used MTC software and the Font "KontikiEnchanted JF", It was included in a Font Pack from my Yahoo Font Group. I cut these out of red vinyl at 6 inches long and 3 inches tall. We recently painted our kitchen a pale yellow with bright white trim and I want to go with red accents (red is my Favorite color) I love the way these turned out and I filled them with my 2 year old's Favorite cookies and snacks! (needless to say they are gourmet only to the 2 year old set! LOL)

Altered Composition Book revision!

Subway Art

I was cruising around the net and saw some Subway Art and I love it! I bought a few ceramic tiles the last time I was at the Home Improvement store so I thought I would give it a whirl!

These are so much fun, I just want through my fonts picking as I went! (so don't ask what they are LOL) Then I went through my vinyl scraps and picked Fall colors and started cutting away. Next time I am going to put my words closer together but I am happy with the way this one turned out!
I am picking the winner of the Altered Composition book tomorrow so be on the look out for that, and I hope to have a new project for y'all. (I have a personal goal to try to post more often, now that Summer is winding down (so sad) I should be crafting more. (If only I could sent the 2 year old to school! LOL)

Altered Composition Book Blog Hop

I created three fun Altered Composition Books for you. These are so much fun! I created a Teacher version, a girl version and a boy version. The first one is the teacher version...

I used papers from my stash, the Apple guy is a My Scrap Chick file "Big Red" and the stamp is from one of Joy's new sets "Holiday Occasions", I created the Welcome in SCAL3 and I used "SF Toontime" font. I added a color coordinated clip and I just love this cute comp book.
My second altered composition book is for a girl and I just love it...

I used a paper from Echo Park's "Sidewalk Chalk" paper set for the binding and Chalkboard vinyl!!!! (Isn't that so super cool! I am in love with this chalkboard vinyl) I cut some shapes from Lettering Delights "Quirky Doodles" and used some chalk to say "School is Cool" and tomorrow I can say something different!
Last but certainly not least is my "Boy" version. I live on the Outer banks of NC and we are known here as the "Billfish Capital of the World" I have a White Marlin hanging on my living room wall that I caught on my 10th birthday. (I come from a very long line of Boat Builders and Fishermen) all of the boys around here are really into fishing and this fits the bill for them!

The papers are from Echo park's "Splash" paper collection, I created the svg for the blue marlin myself and the "Wishin I was Fishin", I created using "Oh {Photo} Shoot" font . I just love the way these turned out and I will be making more of these!!

Good Noodle Card

I used a small piece of rick-rack and inked the edges of the tag (the tag is from the basic shapes collection in MTC or SCAL ). I just love the colors and this card could be for an older child or a man or woman, I love the versatility of it.

I created two projects for you today and both are HOT!! I grow a huge garden every summer, my garden is unusual because everything is grown in containers (mostly 5 gallon buckets) I have 125 tomato plants and 60 pepper plants, many varieties of each. I use the tomatoes and peppers to make Salsa and it is nice and HOT! I make LOTS of salsa, so far I have made 6 cases of salsa. The first project it a Trendy Tool Tote from My Time Made Easy.

I used some red card stock from Recollections and the patterned paper is from Cosmo Cricket's Garden Variety and the tomato tag is from svgcuts.com Veggie Garden II. The two jars of salsa are from my secret recipe!

My second project is also a holder foe two jars of my
hot salsa! This one is also from My Time Made Easy, this one is the "Fancy A Cuppa" The label is from Lettering Delights "Delilah's Tags". I just love these boxes for my salsa and will be making many more especially around the holidays.

Joy's Life Design Team Thursday

I used Joy's Life "Yummy Puns" Stamp set and the My Scrap Chick "watermelon Kids" cut set to create this super cute card. I used a piece of ribbon for the grass and a Peachy Keen Face stamp for the little girls face. (I love PK face stamps!!) I used MTC software and the shadow feature to create the shaped card.

This is my final Joy's Life Design Team post and I am very sad for my term to be over. I made this card using several Christmas fonts and Dingbats that I downloaded for free. I did have to fatten up the Christmas to get it to cut properly. I used foil paper for the holly and holly berries.

I LOVE the project I have for you today!! I used the 3D Letters from www.SVGcuts.com to create "Ho Ho Ho" in 3D. I can't wait until it is time to decorate for Christmas now that I have made these!! All of the H letters are dark red and all of the O letters are in white and then I used different K & Company patterned Christmas papers for the faces of the letters. I also used several www.SVGcuts.com Chirstmas sets to decorate the letters. I used Christmas Cookie Party for the tree and the gingerbread men. I used Comet's Candy Land for the reindeer and Santa's Northpole Workshop for the rest. I used a little twine and inked many of the edges and I used Peachy Keen stamps for the faces of the Clauses and their Elf. I hope y'all like todays project!! Here are each letter, close up.

Joy's Life Design Team Thursday!

I am very excited to show you today's Joy's Life Design Team project! I created this gift bag for my Mom on her Birthday. I used Joy's Life Stamp Set "All Around Sentiments" (I LOVE this set!!) and the gift bag is a cut file from a new to me company (Thanks Thienly for the intro to the company) My Time Made Easy. Lauren's story is a must read, she is an amazing lady! (Y'all will be seeing a lot more of her cut files here! LOL) I used pink cardstock from Recollections (Michaels) and the patterned paper is from the Isabelle Collection from Anna Griffin (On Sale at Michaels) and I used pink brads from my stash for the handle attachment pieces. The closure was created using my I-Top (I have had it for a couple of years and have never used it, I love that thing now and it will see lots of use!!) I used a Stampin Up scalloped circle punch for the gift tag, I stamped the sentiment and then poked a hole and attached the sentiment tag with some pink and white twine from The Twinery. I also used Velcro dots for the actual closure. Here are a few more shots of the bag at different angles, I hope y'all like it as much as I do!! :-)

The rosette on the front of the bag, I made using a 12 inch long strip of paper, I used a Martha Stewart border punch and punched a fancy border then scored it every 1/4 inch using the Martha Stewart score board then glued the two ends together. I punched out a scalloped circle (Stampin Up punch) and hot glued it to the rosette.

When you go to Joy's Life, check out the two newest stamp sets Holiday Occasions and Everyday Occasions, I just received them this week and they ROCK!!! And they mix and match with each other and all of the other stamp sets!! (Isn't Joy Super Smart!!!??)

I made this Birthday card using Joy's Life "Father and Son" stamp set, Lettering Delights "Mahalo Nui Loa" Cut set (available at checkout with a purchase) and the card base was created using SVGcuts.com's "Nested Lacey Shapes". I used a Cuttlebug folder to emboss the top mat layer (I believe it is Damask, not sure though) . I love how this is such a bright card (I am really into bright right now LOL) When we were stationed in FL (the first time) we had a hibiscus in our front yard and I always loved them. Paper Dolls Guest Designer

I am just so excited that I am one of the Paper Dolls Guest Designers, it is such an honor! I LOVE the Paper Dolls blog, Thienly and Tamara do a fantastic job and it is all about svg files, my favorite!! This week we are using some beautiful 3D flowers designed by Jani over at paper Compulsions. Here are the two projects that I made.

I bought a $1 wooden frame that last time I was at Michael's and I used an old (falling apart) paperback book and Mod Podge to cover the frame. Then I made the flowers, inked them and shaped them and assembled with clear popdots. The center is martha Stewart Microbeads and a large dot of glue. I really like the way this frame turned out! here is a closeup of the flowers.

Next I made a gift bag. I used the star bag from SVGcuts.com, it is actually a Christmas box and bag collection called "Christmas Gift Bags and Boxes" but that are so versatile! I used a 12x24 piece of paper and made this box as absolutely large as I could. It is a nice size but not huge, it will fit a 5x7 memory book perfectly (what I needed it for!)

I used a different flower but the same technique, This time I did not ink the flower, instead, I used pearlized paper from AC Cardstock for the flower and then I cut one leaf and inked that to use as the gift tag. here is a view of the dimension of the flower.

I have created three projects for you today, the first one is a two page scrapbook layout. I used two different sets from LSHD, The Fun in the Sun monkeys and Pool Time Fun.

I used Echo park paper from the "Summertime" collection for my background paper and the rest is from my collection (other than the swim trunks for the waterhose monkey, that is Echo Park "Splash" paper). The sentiment I created using fonts from my computer.

The next project is a simple card, I used the Hey Diddle Diddle Collection, I just love this collection, it is just so darn cute (like all of the LSHD patterns) I made this for a small child so I kept it very simple and without small embellishments so there was no issues. I also just love the My Pink Stamper "Punnylicious" stamp, it is so perfect! (Isn't it udderly amazing that the cow could jump so high LOL)

My final project is a super cute outside patio lantern, I used the Chasing Fireflies Collection, this set is just darling!

I used a gallon pickle jar and layered up vinyl to create my patio lantern, this is perfect for folks (like me) with young children. I had my husband poke holes in the lid (just like the jars we all used when we were chasing fireflies as children) and He painted it black for me, this way I can light the candle and it will get oxygen and can burn but my little one is safe. A little bit of ribbon and it is so cute on the table while we eat Al Fresco!

My Cousin's Daughter is having a Pedicure Party for her 8th Birthday and this is the Thank You card I made for her to send afterwards. I used the My Scrap Chick "I Love Pedicures" Cut File for the images and a Joy's Life Stamp from the "All Around Sentiments" Stamp Set for the "Thank You". She loves them so much she wanted to start writing the Thank you notes and her Birthday isn't until August! :-) (I will note that her goodie bags have a bottle of nail polish in them and I matched the color for the nail polish on the card, the little touches are so nice and yes, she did notice!

Personalized Cake Carrier

I made this Cake Carrier as a Wedding Gift for a Client, I used vinyl and MTC to create it. The font for the monogram is Curlz and there are three sizes of circles. This is completely hand washable and the polka dots and Monogram will not come off. The ribbon is hand tied and I used a Velcro dot to attach it to the handle so it can be taken off when you wash the cake carrier. The new Bride is going to have a "Rachael Ray" Kitchen, I think this is a good match!

Red, White and Blue Blog Hop Day 2

HI Everyone, Today is day two of the Red, White and Blue Blog Hop and I created a banner to decorate my living room for the 4th! I just love the way it turned out. You should have arrived here from Linda's Blog. If you just came to visit me (I am very glad you are here!) but you might want to go to Nicolette's Blog and start the hop at the beginning so you don't miss a single fantastic project!

I used Make-The-Cut to create this banner, the stars are from SVGcuts.com's "Made in the USA" svg set,

the pendants are from MTC's basic shapes library and I resized them to suit me. The rosettes are strips of 12x12 paper cut into 2" strips and scored with the Martha Stewart Score Board every 1/2 inch (at every black mark, I think that is a 1/2") then two strips were glued together (a hint is that using a glue gun makes assembling the rosettes go much faster) the center scalloped piece on the rosettes was created with a Stampin Up scalloped circle punch

and the letters are the Storybook Font cut at 3 and 3/4 inches (I downloaded the Storybook font for free) I inked the edges of the pendants, rosette centers and the stars. I used a blue pen to do some doodling on the letters for some added definition.

For Day one of the Red, White and Blue Blog Hop and Joy's Life Design Team Thursday I created this Happy Birthday card for the USA! I love the 4th of July! We usually go out all day in the boat and really enjoy living on the Outer banks of North Carolina, we swim, clam, picnic and then we watch the fireworks before we head back to the docks! I used the "Independence Day" Cricut cartridge for the 4 cuts that comprise the card, I created the window mat for the card in Make-the-Cut software, I used my white gel pen and a red Copic marker to add some detail and the sentiment is from Joy's Life Father & Son Stamp Set for the Happy Birthday.

I just love this card! I created this card using Lettering Delights "Oh Hello Flutter" and "Butterflies and Blossoms" svg sets. (The Lettering Delights "Butterflies and Blossoms" svg set is only available when making a purchase, it is also on sale!! As is the "Oh Hello Flutter".) I used svgcuts.com's "Nested Shapes" svg collection to create the card base. The papers I used are Colorbox Brights and the Wonderful, Fabulous, I Love Her to Death, Yolie sent them to me, she bought them at the Colorbox Warehouse sale!! Thanks so much again, Yolie! Joy's Life Design Team 2-fer

This week Joy asked us to create Father's Day cards. At my house, we have been dealing with some Medical issues with my Hubby so crafting time has been hard to come by. When I got into the craft room I created two cards for Father's Day, one from me and one From our 2 year old.

This is the card I created for Jeremy to give to Da (that is what he calls Daddy, most of the time) I used Joy's Life "Father & Son" Stamp set for the sentiment and the piecing is from Scrappy Dew's "Gone Fishing" svg set. I used Peachy Keen faces and inked the edges and added a little wave action with a black gel pen and some accents on the people with a white gel pen. I used my Cuttlebug and a Tim Holtz embossing folder on the canoe.

I also wanted to give my Hubby a card for Father's Day, We have been married for 25 years this year and I really appreciate him and our family. I used Joy's Life "Father & Son" stamp set and SVGcuts.com's "Stick Figure Families SVG Collection" I wrote a mushy note inside of the card thanking him for our family! ;-)

Joy's Life Design Team Thursday Summer Time

Today's theme for my Joy's Life Design Team card is Summer Time, I needed a few Birthday cards for some upcoming Birthdays so I decided to make this super cute crab with ice cream card. The sentiment is from Joy's Life "Yummy Puns" Stamp Set, I love this set!

I used several Lettering Delights files and MTC software to create this card. The Sand Castle is from the Lettering Delights "Soak Up the Sun" svg set, I used the mat piece (most background image), duplicated it, mirrow imaged one of the images, butted them together, added a rectangle from the shapes menu to fill in a small space and then welded it all together to create the card base. The crab is from the Lettering Delights "Something Fishy" svg set and the ice creams are from the Lettering Delights "Banner Day" which was a free set I received for having a Free Account at Lettering Delights. I used glitter paper on the ice cream so it looks good enough to eat! I also used my Cuttlebug and a couple of different embossing folders to add some dimension to the sandcastle. I hope you enjoy my card!!

Happy Birthday Nicolette!!

and Welcome to Day 1 of Nicolette's Birthday Bash Blog Hop, if you have come from Cheryl at Cards by CG then you are in the right place. If not, please consider going to Nicolette's blog and start at the beginning so you do not miss a single fabulous project! This hop is in honor of Nicolette's Birthday!!!

My project for Day 1 is the Cake Taker for the Birthday Cake!! I used a $5.99 cake taker from Target and used vinyl, MTC and SCAL to create this Fancy Cake Taker! I used the Font Gando BT to create the Cake word art and layered it with all three colors.

The dots are three sizes, 1.25 inches, 1 inch and 3/4 inches and I cut 4 large, 6 medium and 6 small circles in each of the three colors. I placed them randomly and the cake slices on either side of the Cake word art are from Lettering Delights Oishii svg set.

On the Top, I added the ribbon bow, I bought the ribbon at Wal-mart and hand tied it. I attached it to the Cake Taker with a Velcro dot so that it is removable.

The Cake Taker is completely Hand Washable and once I fill it with a delicious Cake the Birthday Celebration can begin!!

I have two projects for you today both very Glittery! The first one is in honor of Memorial Day, My Husband is retired from the US Coast Guard, so he is a Veteran and I am very proud of him and his service to our great country.

I bought this tray for $1 at Wal-Mart and I used glitter vinyl to embellish it. I created the
"God Bless the USA" from fonts on my computer and it is available for download over on the right hand side of the blog. I used silver glitter vinyl for the wording and the "white" dots. The dots are created using the basic shapes available in MTC and SCAL I used 1" circles and 1/2" circles, I cut 5 circles in the larger size and 5 circles of the smaller size in each of the three colors and placed them randomly. This tray is hand washable, I vinyled my mailbox over a year ago and it is holding up perfectly! (I did try to dishwasher a vinyled plate and the vinyl stayed but it started to "pick up" on the edges, so Hand wash!!) Here is a close up of the glitter vinyl.

My second project is a super cute card,

I used a svg from Blackleaf Studios' Flying High SVG and Graphics set and the background cloud paper is also from Blackleaf Studios. I used all glitter papers to cut out the airplane, the digi cloud paper and some yellow cardstock for the card base. The sentiment is from Joy's Life "You're So Punny" Stamp set. I really like this card, it is so bright and cheerful!

Joy's Life Design Team Thursday

I created today's card using Joy's new "Barnyard Puns" Stamp set, this set is a must have and is so cute, I have made a bunch of cards with this set so far and have a bunch more planned! I used a new company for the svg pattern, Scrapping Bug Designs, I used their "Garden" pattern set and it is so cute and easy to cut and layer. I made the tomato plant using the tomatoes from svgcuts.com's " Veggie Garden Part 2" , the plant is from Lettering Delights "Spring is Bliss" svg set and I made the tomato cage using some toothpicks and twine from The Twinnery. I used a little chalk ink to highlight my pieces and a few gel pens to add detail and I was done! I hope you all like the card! This week Joy assigned a summer theme so here is my take on a summer theme. I used Joy's Life "You're So Punny" Stamp set for the sentiment and the cutie patootie girl in her beach chair with umbrella and super cool umbrella drink is from My Scrap Chick's "Bella & Baxtor at the Beach". The sand is a piece of kraft paper that I hand tore and then used some chalk inks to give it more dimension and the wave is from Stacey Pamprin (her website is no longer a working site) I already have a friend I am sending this card to and my friend will love it!!

I just love this weeks Joy's Life Design Team card! I used Joy's Life "Yummy Puns" stamp set for the sentiment, I used my masking technique to stamp the sentiment in two different colors.

The pears are from Lettering Delights " Eat, Drink and Be Hairy" svg set, the lips on Mrs Pear are from Lettering Delights "Lip Smackers" and the Bowler hat on Mr Pear is from Lettering Delights " Holiday Hats" I used the bunny ears hat and left off the ears. I used twine from the Twinnery and the tag is an svg that I can't remember where I got it (if anyone can help, please comment!) The checked paper is a digi paper from Lettering Delights Paper Pack "Best Witches" and the solids are from Michael's Recollections 12x12 cardstock pack. I hope that this card has showed how we can use items "outside the box" like the Halloween paper and the lips and hat, I almost didn't buy the svg files for the lips and the hat but I am so glad I decided to grab them, they really let you embellish other files, they can expand you other sets, they are like accessories and they can also stand on their own, I just love that! LOL I almost forgot, the flowers and brad on Mrs Pear are Prima flowers from my stash as well as the brad. Have a great Crafty Day!

I finally found some time to play in my craft room yesterday and I finished this card that has been in production for - ever it seems! I will have to be honest and say I have no idea where I got the scalloped card base, I am sure it is from a scalloped square and I welded two together but it has been so long, I forgot. (hanging my head is shame!) The red checked picnic cloth I created using some digital paper and I used Photoshop to warp it so that it looked more like a cloth thrown down on the ground, I do like the way it turned out, pretty much like I imagined! LOL (that doesn't often happen LOL) The watermelon is from Lettering Delights "Summer Treats" svg set and the ants are from Just Yolie, they are actually two pieces, I only used the silhouette and drew in the eyes since they are so small. The twine is from the twinnery and the sentiment is from Joy's Life "Yummy Puns" stamp set. I hope to be posting more often, life has been rather crazy for me lately and the craft room has been getting rather dusty, I hope that has changed now! LOL

I did use my Copic markers to give the popcorn more dimension and the inside says "Happy mother's Day" that I created using a font on my computer. I have been having an absolute crazy week and I was supposed to be a part of a Mom's Day Blog Hop and somehow I got bumped from the final line up, not sure what happened but whatever! I did create the card and a present that I am giving my mom for Mother's Day this year so I am ahead of the game! LOL

I made this card using the flowers in the pot from the Lettering Delights "Spring is Bliss" SVG set, I just love this svg set it has so many great images! I also used the print and cut feature of MTC for the sentiment and I used my Cuttlebug and the Sizzix Dots embossing folder to give the background some texture.

These are going to be the gift I give my Mom for Mother's Day this year. I grow many herbs and cook with them, my Mom doesn't but wants to start using more fresh herbs in her cooking, Parsley and Basil are two great herbs to start with. I used vinyl and MTC to embellish these two small ceramic plant pots. I am growing the herbs from seed outside and I will put the plants into the pots next Saturday so they can grow as much as possible. I think she is really going to love this give!

Isn't this just the cutest card for a man card! I love it!! I used Joy's Live "You're So Punny" stamp set for the sentiment and DaVine swirls Cuttlebug embossing folder and my Cuttlebug to create the water. The wave on the boat is part of the paper piecing and that is from My Scrap Chick's "Bears Gone Fishing" Mini Collection. I used papers from my scrap collection and I hand cut the clouds and doodled the birds and the S.S. Minnow boat name (tee hee, I do hope he had a better trip that the original S.S. Minnow!) I also used some chalk ink to highlight the edges of the individual pieces of the paper piecing. I hope y'all like it. I created this card in honor of Mr. and Mrs. Super Joy's Anniversary! I used Joy's Life's "Lots of Puns" stamp set for the sentiment. The hugging bears is from My Scrap Chick's "Valentine Bears" cut collection and the double loop mat is a Martha Stewart look alike svg file I have in my collection. The white mat on top of the double loop mat is embossed with hearts, using the Cuttlebug and then I used chalk to highlight the hearts, it is very subtle but a very nice touch. I used some twine from The Twinery and my Irock to attach some bling to complete the card! Peeps Blog Hop

I made y'all 5 projects today! The first one is this Peeps Train, I just love it and have it displayed as you walk into my front door, I plan on filling the cars with Easter candy so guests (and my 2 year old) can munch away happily! (I am gonna make sure I buy candy that I do not like! LOL) I used the "Santa's Train" svg set from SVGcuts.com for my train and the peeps are from the SVGcuts.com "Easter Morning Egg Hunt" svg set. The papers are Recollections for the solids, the printed paper is a digi paper from Lettering Delights " Eggstra Special" paper pack and the glitter paper is from Hobby Lobby it is Doodlebug Design Inc. paper.

My next project was a quick one, using a freebie from Lettering Delights and Peeps from SVGcuts.com "Easter Morning Egg Hunt" svg collection.I even used some real live peeps! LOL This is a great presentation to give some goodies to a Good Kid or Kid-at-Heart!

I also made a quick card using Lettering Delights " Peep" svg set (I used #4) , the sentiment is from Joy's Life "Wildlife Puns" Stamp Set and the Peeps are from SVGcuts.com's "Easter Morning Egg Hunt" svg set.

My 4th project is kind of tongue-in-cheek, Somehow, the whole Peep Corral idea popped into my head and refused to leave! I thought about doing an Easter explosion box but decided to just have some fun! I cut out a white picket fence twice and some grass twice. The grass is from SVGcuts.com's "Easter Morning Egg Hunt" and the Picket Fence is from SVGcuts.com's "My Happy Garden Hideaway" svg collection. I used Make-the-Cut and SCAL to make the "Peep Corral" sign. I prefer SCAL for working with fonts so I created the title in SCAL and exported it as an svg and then opened the svg in MTC to create the shadow and do the cutting. (sounds like way more work than it really is!) The font that I used is called "Fairlane" and I liked it, kinda 60's-ish to me. So my Peeps are all corralled and are no longer leaving colored sugar all over the house!

My final project was one of those, "I was tired and this silly thought occurred to me and I should have just gone to bed or the couch" kind of thoughts but, I ran with it so I hope it is worth a good laugh, I giggled and laughed a lot! If I was telling the truth (which I am NOT) I would say that both my 4th and 5th projects where goofy but they were fun!My Pirate Peep was created using Lettering Delights "Hat Hoopla"and the eye patch is from Lettering Delights "Aye Matey" both are svg sets. I used a toothpick to hold on the hat. He is totally the cutest pirate I have ever met!! LOL

Don't ya just love this funny card! I do! LOL I used Joy's Life "You're So Punny" Stamp Set and one of the images from the My Scrap Chick's "Blooms" collection to create this card. It is a perfect way to say I am sorry. I used digital papers and scraps from my collection, a Peachy Keen face (from the PK-490 Everyday Character Face Assortment)and a gumdrop jewel (given to me my Kim from Cutter's Creek)and with some doodling with both white (on the flower) and black (on the brick wall) gel pens, I have a great funny Oopsy Daisy card!! Isn't this the cutest card ever! LOL I just love it! I used the Lettering Delights svg set "Mulberry Lane" image #8 and Joy's Life "Wildlife Puns" stamp set to create this card/ I also made it a shaped card and the branch is from the Lettering Delights svg set "Felt Owl Right" image #14. The Lettering Delights Dollar Days ends mid month (so through this week anyway) We all need to go and make sure we have purchased all of the $1 fonts, graphics, paper packs, etc. and $2 svg sets that we want before they go back to regular price! Also Joy has new stamps out and they are available for pre order, her stamps are the best!! One more quick note, I have created a Facebook fan page for OBX Stamping & Crafting and I would just LOVE it if you would go over and "Like" me. The Super Fabulous Joy has new stamps!! I used Joy's "You're So Punny" stamp set for this super cute Gnome card. This card is 5 1/2 x 5 1/2 and I used Tim Holtz distress ink "Faded Jeans", a foam applicator and a piece of scrap paper to create the cloud background and the grass is the negative of some Martha Stewart "Seasonal Cake Art" cartridge grass. The Gnomes are from Lettering Delights "Good Luck Gnomes" and since Lettering Delights extended their Dollar Days sale, it is only $2!!!!! The faces are from Peachy Keen's PK-490 "Everyday Character Faces Assortment. I am so osrry I am late this morning, my laptop is broken and we are waiting for parts, it is so hard to get into the office and to the desktop, not to mention I do not have all of my files on the desktop! April Fool's Day Blog Hop

I created this special box, isn't it beautiful.

It is an Explosion Box from svgcuts.com! The images inside are all from the Lettering Delights "Peek-a-Boo" svg set. Here are all of the images inside, there are thirteen of the twenty in the set represented here!

When you close it in order to put the lid back on, you can see in the following photo that there is a small space where you could put a small gift inside the box.

I love the way this turned out and the lady who will be receiving it will love ti too, I am sure! There is blog candy, so leave a comment but I am still getting it together so it is a surprise!! LOL

I created this card using the Sesame Street Friends Cartridge, Joy's Life "Yummy Puns" stamps, some twine and the "Party Time Pack" paper set from Lettering Delights. My little one loves this card and it is perfect for a "you did great" card for an elementary aged child, I would even send it to an adult! LOL (doesn't everyone love Cookie Monster?) This piecing went together very quickly and was easy to put together, I did ink up the edges for more visual interest. Easter Basket Blog Hop

Happy Easter (Early), If you arrived here from Theresa's blog then you are on the right track, if not then you can start at the beginning so you will be sure not to miss anyone. I started by making an Easter Basket or Bucket in this case.

I used Make The Cut with the Storybook Font to create the "Happy Easter" and "Jeremy". The piecing is from My Scrap Chick's "Easter Chicks" and this is all done with vinyl. Next I made a carrot box.

I used MTC again and SVGcuts.com's "Christmas Gift Bags and Boxes SVG Kit", I used the Christmas Tree box but I used orange and added a green bow to simulate the greens. I love it, it is so cute. Next I made a Birdhouse box,

This absolutely adorable birdhouse basket is from Letter Delights "Spring is Bliss" it is #15, this svg come with an open roof that I used or a closed roof so it more of an actual birdhouse. This is such a cute basket filled with eggs (especially eggs of the Reese variety!) LOL

I also made some Lollipop covers using last weeks freebie from Little Scraps From Heaven, I used MTC and duplicated the main head piece so that I could glue together the two pieces to make the cover, after the piece is together then glue the back head to the front head and let the glue completely cure, then slide in a lollipop, easy peasy and super cute, of course, the trick is to keep your 2 year old from stealing and eating your Lollipops!

Last, but certainly not least I created a card.

I used My Scrap Chick's "Easter Bunnies" to create the bunny piecing for this card, I used the Martha Stewart Doily Lace Edge punch for the lace at the bottom, some ribbon, a little embossing using my Cuttlebug and a button to embellish and the sentiment is from Joy's Life's "Yummy Puns" and I had a finished, really cute Easter Card! Joy's Life Yummy Puns Card

I created this card using the new “Yummy Puns” Stamp set from Joy’s Life, the pie is from the “Simply Charmed” Cricut cartridge and the cake stand is from My Scrap Chicks “Sweet Treats” cut set. I used MTC to cut the cake stand, I inked the edges of the pieces and the papers are digi papers from Denna Rutter’s “Maybe” digi paper set. I added a double looped bow that I tied using my “Bow Easy”. I just love this card! Joy has three new sets of stamps available for purchase (two are preorders) These new stamps are FABULOUS!!!! What I am going to do about the MTC Provo Craft issue

As many of you know MTC and Provo Craft settled out of court and the end result is that MTC will no longer have the drivers to allow us to use the Cricut with MTC. (if you have MTC and DO NOT update it, you will continue to be able to use MTC with your Cricut) I have backed up my current version of MTC so that I will always be able to use MTC with my Cricut. The problem with this arrangement is that Andy is so great about incorporating great features into MTC and I am sure that I will want to be able to use these updates that are surely coming! My Husband and I have talked about this and we have decided that I will be buying a Black Cat Cougar in the future (as soon as I have saved the money for it) I will keep my Cricut since I have about 50 cartridges and I do like some of them but I am truly a svg and MTC kinda gal! I have many many svgs and I would rather use them than a cartridge, many times a cart will only have a few images that I truly like, that being said I used two different ones today! I really wish that Provo Craft had more regard for their Customers, since really, we are the ones who are being punished by this decision, I have lost all of my respect for the Provo Craft Company but I do still love my red Cricut.(It isn't his fault that he has bad parents! LOL, and yes, my Cricut is a boy) I will be back either today or tomorrow with a new project to post, I won Best in Show at the Baltimore Cricut Circle Event last weekend and the prize was a Yudu!! I haven't played with it yet but soon!! I will be showing you my "Best in Show" Project!

I went to my first Cricut Circle event in Baltimore MD this past weekend and it allowed me to borrow cartridges that I do not have, this card, a “green” card in honor of St. Patricks Day, I made with the “Just Because Cards” cartridge, I now have added it to my must have list! This is a fun simple card to let a “little” Friend know that I think they are cool and that they are doing a good job! The yellow ribbon represents the sun and gives just the finishing touch and still allows the card to be given to a boy. The sentiment stamp is from Joy’s Life “Lots of Puns” Stamp set and the grass is actually the negative portion of some grass that I recently cut from the Martha Stewart Seasonal Cake Cartridge. I made this card for my Daughter to encourage her it an endeavor she is considering, I thought it would let her know we are supporting her in her decision! The turtle and the scalloped circle mat are from My Scrap Chick, the Turtle is part of the “Turtle and Snail” set and the scalloped circle is in the “30 boxes and More” Collection. The sentiment stamp is from the Joy’s Life Mother & Daughter Stamps, they stamp so clean and crisply! I love them!! With some embroidery floss, a button and a little doodling, the card was complete! The papers are all from my stash, I am trying to use up some of the huge pile of scrap paper I have amassed!

Guest Designer and a SVGcuts.com Giveaway!

I have been dealing with a sick child all week, we went to the Doctor today and He has an ear infection so MJ stepped up to the plate for me and She created some fabulous projects for y'all today.

This project was fun to make and so colorful. I used the svgcuts.com file "Easter Basket Collection". I scored my baskets with the scorpal. I was sooo lucky I found the paper at JoAnn's on sale!!!. The solid pearl paper is from the "gemstones collection" by Coredinations, It has texture and it shimmers a little....perfect for Easter projects. The Patterned paper is from K & Co., "Life's Little Occasions" Collection. The different flowers and ribbons are a combination of purchases made between Michael's, JoAnn's and Hobby Lobby. I used different embellishments like brads, prima flowers, gemstones and pearls all from my stash.

I glued the baskets together with Scotch Quick-Dry Adhesive and attached the flowers and ribbons with my hot glue gun.

I could not resist making a card for my last day a a Guest Designer for Tammy's blog. So I decided to make a Z-fold accordion card. I love love and love the "Easter Morning Egg Hunt" collection by svgcuts.com and I decided to make something with it. I used all my scrap paper from the baskets the make this card.

I tied up my card with a cute ribbon to keep it from opening. The sentiment font is Altastgreeting and it's elevated with pop dots.

After completing all of these projects ..... I'm sooooo ready for Easter!! :)

Read Across America "Create a Book" Blog Hop and SVGcuts.com Blog Candy

(** edited to add the winner of yesterday's $10 SVGcuts.com Gift Certificate, at bottom of post) Today is "Read Across America" Day and I have a two year old,the book that I made it to help teach my little one colors, shapes and numbers. He loves trucks, trains and planes so I used those as my theme. I used the truck from SVGcuts.com's "Play all Afternoon" collection and Make-the-Cut to create this book. What I did was to put all of the pieces of the truck together on the virtual mat and then I duplicated it. One the second truck I welded all of the pieces together, I created a shadow as well, I also welded an extra rectangle onto the rear end of the truck to give me space for the spiral binding. The shadow layer I cut four times for the front cover and 4 times for the back cover. I cut 2 out of cereal box chipboard and I used the print and cut feature in MTC to print out the patterned papers on the inside covers and the back cover outside.

I used the basic shapes in MTC for the shapes and they are all cut out and the names of the shapes and colors are printed and then the shape was cut, again using the MTC print and cut feature. The graphics for the vehicles in the numbers section of the book came from Goodness and Fun's "On the Go" graphics set (Goodness & Fun graphics can be found at mygraphico.com) I used my ATG gun to glue the pages together and then I laminated them and the covers were Mod Podged to give them strength and durability so that the book will survive and 2 year old. This book was so much fun to create and my little one LOVES it!! We have read this book about 10 times a day since I finished it. (Please forgive the photos, I had a terrible time with reflections due to the lamination of the pages) Don't forget to leave a comment to win today's $10 SVGcuts.com gift certificate!! Hi everybody, this is MJ. I'm sooo happy that I have the chance to play with Tammy in her craft room again because I miss her dearly! For the first day of this SVGCuts.com marathon, I created an Easter paper favor cake.

I used the cake box from SVGcuts.com's "Betty's Boxes and Bags" collection. I bought my ribbons, teal and chocolate texture papers as well as the Porcelain Chocolate Bunny Cake Topper from Hobby Lobby. I assembled the boxes using my Scorpal to score the fold lines and glued them together with Scotch Quick-Dry Adhesive.

I embellished each cake slice with a paper rose (sooo easy to make) from SVGCuts.com's "Crush on You Boxes" file. Even though this is a Valentine collection, the roses and boxes are so beautiful and can be used for all seasons (Spring, Easter, Weddings, etc). The paper for the flowers came from Michaels (Recollection brand) and for a finishing touch I added some fabric leaves that I found at Hobby Lobby in the wedding department. I adhered the flowers to boxes with hot glue.

This is a really quick and easy project with very impressive and beautiful result.

MJ's Party Favor Cake is phenomenal!! My card pales in comparison, I had grand plans but I ended up with a sick child and this card is the result!

I used SVGcuts.com's "Robins Return" Collection to create this card, I used the cloud frame, the branch and the nest with eggs to signify Spring (I am so ready for Spring) With a My Pink Stamper sentiment from the "Tweetie Hoo Puns" stamp set and a little bit of doodling finishes off this Spring card.

Recently, I was asked to make some Thank You cards, this person was very very ill and in intensive care for two weeks and has lots of folks to thank for all that they did, Here is one of the cards I made for her. I used Lettering Delights “Yours Truly” svg set for the flower spray, the background mat I ran through the Cuttlebug with the 5x7 Dots embossing folder, I used some ribbon from my stash and the Bow Easy to tie the bow, the sentiment is from Joy’s Life “Mother & Daughter” Stamp set and I used the masking technique to make the sentiment two lined as opposed to long. The scallop is a punch from Stampin Up and the center circle is a punch from Creative Memories.

Tacky Tuesday Card

My Friend and fellow Joy's Life Design Team member, Ruthie has a Fabulous Challenge called Tacky Tuesdays and I finally had a chance to participate!! This month's Challenge was the Chick cut from page 35 in the Booklet of the "Simply Charmed" Cartridge. I also used the "Smiley" Cartridge that was a free download on the Gypsy, for the Pirate head piece and eye piece. I used Make The Cut to cut out the scroll (it is in the shapes Library) and the Font I used on the "Ahoy Chick" sentiment is "Captain Kidd Demo" and the waves are from a svg that I have in my collection but do not know where it is from (sorry). The Pirate ship is a brad and the sky is Cuttlebugged with the Da Vine swirls CB folder to look like blowing wind! LOL

Happy Birthday Super Joy!! Here is the card I made for Joy's Birthday. I used the Lettering Delights "Love is Sweet" set for the card base and mat, I used Make-the-Cut and my Cricut to turn the #15 scalloped mat into a card, I deleted the frame piece and then created a shadow mat so I could have a double mat. The sentiment is actually three different stamps from three different stamp set from Joy's Life, the "Happy Birthday" is from the "Father & Son" stamp set, the "Super" is from the "Mother & Daughter" stamp set (I am giving this away today at the end of this post!!) and the Joy is from the "All Around Sentiments" stamp set, it is the enjoy and I masked what I didn't want. The cake is from My Scrap Chick's "Sweet Treats" set, it is the "Tall Cake" without the cake stand. The strawberries are from Lettering Delights "Love is Sweet" set.I added some stickles and some stitching, I thought is was cute and Joy will love it (I hope)!!

The next thing I made for Super Joy's Birthday are some Party Hats, the hat pattern is a freebie from svgcuts.com, I used strawberry themed paper from DCWV "Summer Dream" Premium paper stack and I added assorted ribbons and trims from my personal stash.

Next I created a chip bucket for the Party table, I used a sand bucket that i bought at the Dollar Tree for a buck and used some red glitter vinyl to cut the Happy Birthday using the "DN Cursive Bold" font and knowledge I gained from Joy's Vinylology DVD. (if you want to do vinyl projects, Joy's Vinylology is a must have !)
The Piece De Resistance is..................

I made Joy a Birthday Cake!!! I used my Cricut cake that was just gifted to me and I used the Martha Stewart Elegant Cakes Cartridge to cut the lace edging, I will say that there is a learning curve to the Cake and I am still working on mastering it so I ended up piping the sentiment on top. I also made a cake plate.

I used the "DN Cursive Bold" font and a plate that I purchased at the Dollar Tree for a buck!! I also used the red glitter vinyl, this is so cute and glittery in person.

Joy's Life Design Team Thursday

Joy challenged two of us Design Team members to do a scrapbook layout using her stamps, I have not scrapbooked in years (it is a time thing) but I really have been wanting to get back into it, so I accepted the challenge!

I created this Scrapbook Double page layout using digital paper from Kim Hills “Buggy Afternoon” paper set, the trees are from My Scrap Chick’s “Happy Tree Forest” cut file and Lettering Delights "Balloon Craze", I created the title using MTC and the mats I just cut ¼ inch larger than the photos I used Joy’s Life Stamps from both the Father & Son stamp set and the Mother & Daughter stamp set,

I mix and matched them. I also used a svg freebie from Bittbox called “BB Birds In Flight” to add the birds. On this day, My Aunt brought over my first cousin’s children to play with my Grandson, We took an excursion into the woods, the kids were thrilled!

This layout is a multi generational family snapshot, from my very large family!

I liked my little Love is Sweet card, it was so cute and I sold it within an hour of making it so I didn't get tired of it. I decided to create a new version and this is the result. I used the Lettering Delights "Dougs Bugs" svg set for the bug and the LD "Love is sweet" svg set for the card base and mats (this is actually a scalloped mat but I duplicated the scalloped mat and then welded two together to create a card base). The sentiment is from Joy's Life "Lot of Puns" stamp set and the banner is from svgcuts.com "Birthday Elements" svg set, some Cuttlebugging and a little stitching finished it all off! I hope y'all like it!

Love is Sweet!

I woke up this morning at 6 am with this Lettering Delights set swirling around in my head! I went straight to the craft room (only stopping long enough to get the Peculator going) and whipped out this super cute card (can you tell I am very ready for spring??) I used MTC and the LD Love is Sweet svg set and a white gel pen to make this card. I welded two of the scalloped mats together to create the card base, deleted one of the mats and you can see the rest. I sold this card this morning! LOL I sold 5 cards this morning, which is so sweet because now I can buy more Lettering Delights sets!! LOL
