Happy Fall Y'all

I absolutely LOVE the way this card turned out. I have had the "Harvest Bears" set from MyScrapChick for a while now but I hadn't cut anything yet. This particular bear looked so cute I decided to put him together. The paper is from (Solids) PaperTrey Ink and the patterns are from DCWV paper Stacks. I took a few liberties, the vine is not part of the MyScrapChick pattern, I used the Shape Library in SCAL2, the leaves are from the Fall set of shapes and the vine is from the Swirls Library. I used some Stickles to Bling it up a  bit (even a country bear needs bling! LOL) The sentiment banner is from svgcuts.com, the "Birthday Elements" set but I removed the highlight piece from the banner top (if you want to recreate this you will see what I mean) and I used my Cri-Kits pens for my Cricut to write the sentiment using "Biscotti" font (found it free online) The twine is also from paperTrey Ink, and I used some Versamark Dew Drops to "distress" chalk the edges. I really love the way this card turned out, I think it is one of my favorites!!

Halloween Gift Bag

Good Morning Everyone!

Here, at last, is the Halloween Gift Bag that I created, the gift bag and the ghost in the pumpkin are all MyScrapChick files (remember they are having a 60% off sale through Sunday) and the skull frame I created from a jpg file I found online (if you would like the svg file for the skull frame just leave me a comment with your email address). The gift bag is from the "Bigger Bags" collection and it is bag #17 "Tall Bag A". The ghost coming out of the pumpkin is from the "Boo Bunch" collection. The solid paper is from PaperTrey Ink and the patterned paper is from DCWV's Latte paper stack. The sentiment I hand wrote with a black gel pen. The tissue paper is from the Dollar Tree ;-) I can't wait to make more of these to give to my special little ones at Halloween filled with candy and other goodies, I am sure they will love them.

Skeleton Card

I was going to post my gift bag created with MyScrapChick files (even the bag, but I decided to redo the photos with tissue paper in the bag) I also made this card, so here we go. This is a very simple card using The "Mini Monsters" Cricut cartridge, Scrappy moms "A haunting We Will Go" stamp set and PaperTreyInk paper. I used the skeleton monster on page 48 of the booklet and the Tombstone card on page 71. All of the paper is PaperTreyInk and the super cute sentiment "Rattle dem Bones" is from Scrappy moms, I also did a little doodling with a black gel pen. I hope you like it, leave me a comment and let me know what you think!!

A Quick Note

Just wanted to let everyone know MyScrapChick is having a 60% off sale through Sunday 28 August 2010. When you place $25.00 or more into your cart you get the discount! With 60% off, this equates to getting $25 worth of files for $10, a steal!!!! I am working on what files I do not have and that I need!! LOL
I do have a new card and a Halloween gift bag (using MyScrapChick's "Boo Bunch" file) to post later, after I get photos taken.

MyScrapChick Birthday Bears

I guess it is apparent that I adore MyScrapChick's cut files, this card was created using one of the files from the "Birthday Bears" Collection. I created this card as part of a class I taught at a local church, the Ladies made one card using a kit I had put together, this was one of those kit cards. The other card was a card using a digital stamp, teaching them how to make a card on a budget, although the MyScrapChick files are budget friendly with her 50% off if you put $25 in your cart, I can get a lot of files for $12.50. The papers are PaperTreyInk for the solids, the background patterned paper is from the DCWV "All Seasons" paper stack, the party hat paper is from Cricut and the present and the pompom on the hat is a white glitter paper. I used a face stamp from Peachy Keen stamp set PK-754 "Critter Faces Set A Medium"  for the bear's face, the ribbon is from Stampin Up, and the silver brad is one from my bling stash. The sentiment stamps are from My Pink Stamper's "Family & Friends" stamp set.

Halloween Faces

Hi Y'all, I am finally back with some new cards. These four cards are from the "Halloween Faces" collection from www.myscrapchick.com, I used my Cricut and SCAL2 to cut these out. The thing I love about the myscrapchick files are that they come in  All of the cutter file formats AND they even include files that can be cut by hand, you can print them out as a template and use your own cardstock or print them out in color on white cardstock and just assemble the pieces, so anyone  can use her files. (just a note, I am in no way affiliated with myscrapchick.com, I just am a very good customer! LOL) These cards were super easy to do and she also has a Christmas Faces collection too. I used PapertreyInk paper and Dew Drops Chalk ink to highlight the edges, and my new super cool pink ATG gun to assemble. (all links at the bottom of the post) happy early halloween!  The sentiments are from Scrappy moms Stamps "A haunting We Will Go" set except for the Vampire sentiment, it is the suggested one from myscrapchick so I hand wrote it with my white gel pen.

K Andrew Challenge Part 2

Here it is... the inside!
The cut file that I received from K Andrew Designs called "School Stuff" included several different files, the frame I made into the card in the previous post, a cool border, an apple and a paperclip. I used the apple cut and the paperclip cut to do the inside of my card. The border is super cool (although I didn't use it for this project) it is a heart border and an apple border!! (If you look, the apple is a heart too) This is a super cool cut file collection and you can get it here . I used some silver and some red foil paper to create the paperclip and scrap papers from my scrap stash to create the apple. I also used some Stickles to bling up the apple.  I used a piece of paper from a School paper collection that looks like notebook paper and I hand wrote the sentiment, I am planning to give this to my little cousin who starts 2nd grade next week. Please let me know via comments what you think!!

(I can't wait for you to see what I have been making! hint: it is a myscrapchick.com file and they are super cute!! )

K Andrew Designs Challenge

Hi Everyone,
I have been spending some time in the craft room over the weekend and created this card using K Andrew Design's cut file "School Days", she is giving this file away if you participate in the challenge. I took some liberties with her file, the card was created using the frame in the file set, the "School Days" sentiment is part of her file and is not a cut but a pen file designed to be used with Cri-Kit pens. The bus and the sun are from the "Doodlecharms" Cricut cartridge and the highway is from the "Everyday paperdolls" Cricut cartridge. I have plans to do the inside of the card but it isn't done yet so it will be a future post! (hopefully this week LOL) I do have to confess that I used Amy Chompas' Mini Sharpie holder and a black mini Sharpie marker to write the "School Days" sentiment, I do have the Cri-Kits pens and I really love them but I wanted a fatter look to my sentiment. I like having the option of the mini sharpies and the Cri-kit gel pens, it is the best of all worlds! I used Peachy keen stamp sets PK- 570 (Basic Paper Doll Face Assortment) for the sun face and PK-754 (Critter Faces Set A medium) for the bus face. And, last but certainly not least, I used my handy Dandy, trusty white gel pen for the doodling! I love to doodle! LOL ((Now y'all know the truth, a white gel pen and some popdots and I am a happy girl! :-)))

Peachy Keen Challenge #34

Hello everyone, I am finally back!! I got some time in the craft room this weekend and created this card and a few others you will be seeing over the next few days. I wanted to participate in the Peachy Keen Stamps Challenge that you can find over at their blog http://peachykeenstampschallenge.blogspot.com/ I came up with this using the "Lil Pumpkins" cut file from myscrapchick.com, solid cardstock from papertreyink.com, patterned paper from the DCWV "All Seasons" paper stack, the Martha Stewart "spider web" border punch and a sentiment from scrappymoms.com's "A Haunting We will Go" stamp set. I also used the Peachy Keen stamp set  PK-549 "Pumpkin Face parts" for the faces on the pumpkins. (all links are at the end of this post.) I did use VersaMagic Dew Drops in a pumpkin color to highlight the pumpkins and give them dimension and a white gel pen to give highlights and do some doodling. I really like the way this card turned out now I have to actually send it to someone in Oct! LOL Here is a closeup view of the pumpkins, they are popdotted up to give even more dimension. (what can I say, I am addicted to popdots!)

WINNER!!!!!

The blog Candy winner is Gloria, her blog is http://lilcabininthewoods.blogspot.com/
I used a downloaded random number generator because I found out that in order to use Random.org for a drawing it is a paid service, since I do not need it on a regular basis and I couldn't find their fee structure, I decided to find a free program, I used a program called Random Number created by Paul Saccenti. Thanks so much to everyone who participated and to all of my Followers, I have lots to post in the next few weeks! I look forward to reading your comments!! Gloria, please contact me as soon as you can.
